A Cleveland man was arrested Thursday evening on charges related to a drive-by shooting that happened Wednesday afternoon outside Cornelia.
The Habersham County Sheriff's Office said Jacson Contreras, 18, was arrested Thursday in White County and was booked in at the Habersham County Detention Center early Friday.
Contreras was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime following the shooting at about 2 p.m. Wednesday near Camp Creek Road and Wilson Road. He is also charged with a felony count of terroristic threats and acts unrelated to Wednesday's case.
Contreras is accused of firing several shots at another vehicle before driving away northbound on Camp Creek Road at a high speed.
The victims, one of whom is eight months pregnant, said "words were exchanged" in the parking lot of a Cornelia apartment complex before the shooting.
The agency said no one was injured in the shooting. The victim's vehicle did not suffer any damage.

The Habersham County Sheriff's Office is investigating a drive-by shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon outside of Cornelia.
Deputies said no one was injured in the incident near Camp Creek Road and Wilson Road, but the suspect fled the scene.
One of the victims of the assault was an eight-month-pregnant woman who said the incident occurred after words were exchanged in the parking lot of a Cornelia apartment complex.
Authorities have identified a person of interest who they said is a Hispanic male driving a red Dodge pickup truck.
The suspect and victims were known to each other authorities said.
Sheriff's officials do not believe there is a threat to the public.
