A motorcycle rider in Franklin County is seriously hurt and faces numerous charges following a chase and crash into another vehicle Thursday.
Georgia State Patrol say that 24-year old David Kanoa Das of Winder faces several charges after he initially was spotted with no tag on his motorcycle at the Interstate 85 Northbound Exit at GA 17 in Franklin County Thursday afternoon.
GSP say Das then reached speeds over 90 miles per hour before crashing into the truck of Rantavious Carmichael of Mississippi along a GA-17 ramp onto I-85 Southbound a few miles further away.
Das was taken from the wreck to Prisma Health Greenville Hospital with serious injuries and faces felony speeding, reckless driving, DUI of drugs, and several other charges. Carmichael was not hurt from the collision.
