Two individuals from Gainesville were arrested on drug trafficking charges following a traffic stop Tuesday.
Gainesville Police Department Spokesman Lt. Kevin Holbrook said one of the agency’s canine units was called to assist Georgia State Patrol with the initial traffic stop. During a search of the vehicle, officers allegedly found 15 grams of marijuana, 16 grams of prescription pills and one gram of suspected methamphetamine.
Two individuals, Curtis Shane Hill, 43, and Katie Nicole Johnson, 43, both of Gainesville, were arrested in the case.
Both face the following charges:
- Trafficking in marijuana
- Possession of methamphetamine
- Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute
- Possession of Hydrocodone
- Possession of schedule IV drugs
- Possession of marijuana less than 1 oz.
- Possession of a schedule I controlled substance
