Wreck in Banks County on Highway 441 leaves one driver seriously hurt

One driver suffered serious injuries from a single vehicle crash in Banks County Tuesday morning.

Banks County Fire Chief Steve Nichols said in a press release that their Emergency Services units responded to a wreck along Highway 441 Tuesday morning after 10:20 a.m. near the Captain D’s restaurant.

Upon arrival, Banks County safety units and the Georgia State Patrol found an accident with one male driver trapped in the vehicle. The unidentified driver was extricated and then transported to Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in serious condition with multiple injuries.

Georgia State Patrol is investigating the cause for the accident.
