Needed assistance is coming to Gwinnett County's Solicitor's Office, in the form of national grants.
Gwinnett County Solicitor-General Lisamarie Bristol’s office has recently been awarded a $150,000 grant to help with case backlog.
The Judicial Council American Rescue Plan Act funds will be used for technology to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of daily operations, increase the workflow of cases and ensure cases are handled in a professional and effective manner.
Gwinnett Solicitor-General Bristol's press release said that the office is thrilled to be able to use funds to enhance their technology and hire added staffing to addess their backlog issues.
The Gwinnett Judicial Circuit received approximately $2 million in ARPA funding during the first round of distribution. In this supplemental funding round, the Solicitor’s Office asked to be included for consideration and is one of 24 judicial circuits selected to receive the grant monies.
