A man was taken to a local hospital after he was allegedly stabbed Friday morning in Gainesville.

Gainesville Police Lt. Kevin Holbrook said the stabbing reportedly happened at about 5 a.m. on North Cliff Colony Drive off Thompson Bridge Road.

A man had a stab wound to his arm when police arrived. He was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville in stable condition.

Holbrook said the victim and another man were conducting a "business venture" when they got into an argument. The second man allegedly took a knife from the kitchen and stabbed the victim in the arm.

The second man reportedly left the scene before the arrival of officers.

The victim told police he met the man a few days before the incident.

Holbrook said Investigators are working to determine if warrants will be obtained against the second man in the incident.

This story will be updated as more details are released.
