A teenager from Cumming was killing a single-vehicle wreck Monday evening in Forsyth County.
According to a press release from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, authorities were dispatched at about 10:20 p.m. to the crash on Haw Creek Road east of Haw Creek Drive.
The 16-year-old was reportedly driving a 2004 Audi A4 west on Haw Creek Road when she crossed into the eastbound lane, clipped a utility pole and hit a tree.
The girl died at the scene. The sheriff's office said she was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The wreck remains under investigation.
