Buford Dam Road will temporarily close for guard rail maintenance Thursday, March 9.
According to a press release from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The corps encourages drivers to use Highway 20 as an alternate route.
Parks with entrances inside the work area on Buford Dam Road will also be closed as crews perform maintenance. Parks that will be closed include Lower Pool East, Lower Overlook, Lower Pool West, West Bank Turn-Out, West Bank Park and Buford Dam Park.
