Two people were arrested in Towns County Tuesday after they were found in possession of methamphetamine, THC wax and drug paraphernalia.
A social media post from the Towns County Sheriff's Office said Drug Investigators assisted the Georgia State Patrol with a traffic stop in the area of Hiawassee Fruit Stand.
Authorities conducted a probable cause search, which led to the confiscation of the drugs.
Chanda Dawn McGowan, 35, was arrested and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and felony crossing guard lines with weapon/drugs/intoxicants.
Joseph William Campbell, 34, was arrested and charged with felony possession of THC Wax and Methamphetamine and felony crossing guard lines with weapon/drugs/intoxicants.
Both suspects were from Marble, North Carolina.
