A Gainesville man has been arrested and charged with aggravated sexual battery and child molestation in connection to an ongoing child molestation investigation.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said Dominick Alexander Anthony, 31, of Gainesville, was taken into custody at HCSO Headquarters on Thursday, Jan. 30.
Anthony allegedly committed the crimes against a female victim, who was under the age of 16, at her home between January of 2023 and February of 2024. Anthony knew the victim before the abuse.
In February last year, the Gainesville Police Department forwarded the investigation to the sheriff’s office after determining that the crimes occurred in unincorporated Hall County.
Anthony was booked into the Hall County Jail where he remains without bond.
