Forsyth Co. resident arrested after allegedly being found with child sexual abuse material

By Will Daughtry News Reporter

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is reporting an arrest was made after a man was allegedly caught in possession of child sexual abuse material.

According to a Facebook post, the sheriff’s office said 25-year-old Elvis Beltran Pineda was arrested on Thursday after a search warrant was conducted and numerous electronic devices were collected for analysis.

Two hard drives were previewed, which is when authorities reportedly found the “large amounts” of child sexual abuse material on the devices.

That comes after the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office participated in Operation Bytedown this week, a state-wide operation focused on finding and stopping internet crimes against children.

Pineda was charged with two counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and is in jail with an over $44,000 bond according to Forsyth's inmate listing.
