WINDER, Ga. — The Flowery Branch girls clinched the No. 3 in Region 8-5A with a 58-52 come-from-behind win over Heritage-Conyers on Friday at the Winder-Barrow gym.
The Lady Falcons (16-12) trailed 42-32 heading into the fourth quarter but got hot behind Bella Brick. The senior guard poured in 27 points as Branch outscored the Lady Patriots (14-12) 25-10 over the final eight minutes.
Branch led 11-9 after the opening quarter and took a 26-21 lead into halftime. But Heritage rallied with a 21-point third quarter to grab the lead.
Amyia Scott had 10 points for Flowery Branch.
