A release from the GBI said the suspect Christopher Vaughn, 39, allegedly stabbed two people at a home on Bart Holcomb Rd.

The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office responded to a person stabbed call at around 7:40 a.m. Thursday. When deputies arrived, they found William James Vaughn, 63, of Toccoa dead in his home.

GBI officials said deputies cleared the house and found Christopher Vaughn locked inside a room and placed him in custody.

Deputies were called to the home at 6 a.m. the same day for a verbal domestic call before the person stabbed call the GBI said.
