Banks County man arrested in child pornography case

By Austin Eller News Director

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation recently arrested a Banks County man following a child pornography investigation.

According to a press release from the GBI, Damion Jackson McCluskey, 22, was arrested Tuesday and charged with sexual exploitation of children.

The GBI began an investigation into McCluskey's online activity after receiving a Cyber Tipline Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding his possible online possession and distribution of child pornography.

A search warrant was then executed Tuesday at McCluskey's home in Banks County. Authorities seized numerous electronic devices during the search, and the devices were processed by the GBI.

The investigation revealed evidence that McCluskey possessed and shared child pornography. He was arrested and booked into the Banks County Jail.

Anyone with information about other cases of child exploitation is asked to contact the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit at 404-270-8870 or report via the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children CyberTipline at CyberTipline.org.
