Gwinnett Police Department collects over 150 pounds of drugs during weekend drug takeback campaign

Gwinnett County Police Department's Community Affairs team collected more than 165 pounds of medication for disposal last Saturday at an organized drop-off event.

The county's police department Facebook page posted their gratude to residents who participated in the DEA Prescription Drug Takeback to keep homes and residents safe from potential prescription drug abuse.

Gwinnett Police says the annual event promotes public safety, protects the environment, and safeguards the well-being of Gwinnett's youth.
