A 20-year-old Norcross man is dead after being brought to an area hospital with a gunshot wound.
Gwinnett Police Department officers responded to Northside Hospital off Johnson Ferry Road early Saturday morning to a report that the man’s friends had brought him in with the wound. Shortly after responding, officers were notified that the man had died.
“At this time, very little is known about what happened,” a release from the department read. “Detectives believe the incident occurred at a business located in the 4800 block of Jimmy Carter Blvd.”
Homicide Unit detectives and the Crime Scene Investigations Unit have responded to the scene and are investigating the incident.
The victim's identity will not be released until the next of kin has been notified.
