The Georgia Department of Transportation announced Monday they will conduct work to replace broken slabs on I-985 and SR 365 in Hall and Gwinnett Counties.
The work will occur Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is expected to continue for a few weeks.
GDOT said work will continue until temperatures drop and work cannot continue.
GDOT will work on both northbound and southbound lanes.
Motorists are cautioned to slow down in work zones. GDOT said slab replacement requires time for the concrete to set before traffic can be restored on the roadway.
Delays are expected and drivers are advised to consider alternate routes.
