Four people were injured in a crash that shut down one side of Interstate 985 in Gainesville Monday night.

A report from the Georgia State Patrol said the wreck happened just after 8:30 p.m. near Exit 22 at U.S. 129/Athens Highway when a southbound Chrysler 300 left the roadway and hit a curb, causing it to overturn and hit a southbound Dodge Ram 5500 on its roof. The Chrysler then reportedly hit the interstate's guardrail.

A social media post from the Gainesville Police Department said the southbound side of I-985 was shut down from the time of the crash until 11:00 p.m.

Georgia State Patrol officials said all four people in the Dodge Ram were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, but the severity of their injuries was not made known as of noon Tuesday.

The crash is still under investigation and the names of those involved have not been released.
