GAINESVILLE — North Hall will play host to Union County in a rare Monday tilt at Lynn Cottrell Court.
The two schools' originally scheduled non-region matchup on Jan. 14 was cancelled due to weather.
Both games should be compelling.
The Union County girls (11-8) have won two straight and 7 of their last 10 overall. The Lady Trojans (13-5) have won three straight, including a thrilling win over Class 4A No. 8 Chestatee on Friday, and 5 of their last 6 overall. North Hall beat Union County 57-54 in both teams' season openers in Blairsville back in November.
The Union County boys (13-6) have won five straight, including an 81-76 win over Class 2A No. 3 Providence Christian last week. The North Hall boys (9-10) have dropped three straight but did make the Lanierland championship game last month. The Panthers beat North Hall 74-71 in both teams' season openers in Blairsville back in November.
