A Gwinnett County non-profit is asking for public input on the county's first ever arts and creative economy master plan.
Artworks Gwinnett will be holding three public events to receive input on the plan, which will focus on how arts and culture can help improve the economy in the county. The meeting dates and locations are listed below:
(All meetings will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.)
- Monday, August 22 at the Dacula Park Activity Building
- Tuesday, August 23 at the Centerville Senior Center in Snellville
- Wednesday, August 24 at Bogan Park in Buford
Artworks Gwinnett is also encouraging residents to participate in an online survey about the plan.
Jonathan Holmes, chairman of the organization, says the public input is important, as the plan extends to 2040 as part of the county's unified plan.
"Gwinnett is the most diverse county in the state, and we need to hear from all age groups to know where future funding should be concentrated," Holmes said. "What grade would you give your community for its arts vibrancy? How can we get it to an A grade? Tell us what you like, what you need, what you imagine."
