The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Blake Thomas, 40, on June 3 on child pornography charges, concluding a two-month-long investigation.
According to the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation began on April 21 following a complaint of child pornography sent via Snapchat.
Investigators interviewed Thomas, who admitted to creating a fake Snapchat profile, that he used to speak to women and send explicit material of children.
After the interview, investigators followed up with Thomas and served subpoenas and search warrants on his social media accounts.
Thomas is charged with two counts of possession of child pornography and two counts of distribution of child pornography.
He is currently in the Habersham County Jail and is awaiting bond.
