No injuries in South Hall house fire

By AccessWDUN staff

Four adults and one child were displaced by a Wednesday evening house fire in southern Hall County.

Crews were called to the scene on Martin Road just before 6 p.m., and arrived to find that the fire - which was initially reported as a camper fire - had spread from an outbuilding to a nearby residence.

"The outbuilding fire ignited the home and fire quickly spread to the attic," Hall County Fire Rescue EMS Division Chief Christie Grice said Wednesday evening. "The fire also damaged a vehicle in the driveway."

No residents were home at the time of the fire, and the American Red Cross was called in to assist the five people who were displaced.

No injuries were reported, and Grice said the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office would be investigating the cause of the fire.
