An arrest has been made in the death of a Gainesville homeless man. Pedro Morales-Valle, 42, was arrested on Thursday and charged with malice murder in the death of Billie Lee Davis, 37. Both men were residents of the same homeless camp off Queen City Parkway.

In a statement from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, investigators believe the two became involved in an argument on the night of May 13 when Morales-Valle shot Davis. Davis’ body was discovered by another member of the homeless camp a few hours later.

Morales-Valle remains in the Hall County jail without bond.
