The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Fugitive Unit arrested a man who is accused of comitting sex acts against children.
According to booking records from the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office, Alberto Luna Alvarez was taken into custody on April 6. Alvarez has been charged with two counts of child molestation and two counts of child molestation by sodomy. He also has an outstanding bench warrant.
Alvarez came forward in November 2021 for the recurring crime. The Lawrenceville Police Department swore out warrants for his arrest, but discovered that Alvarez fled from Georgia to Texas.
Alvarez was arrested when he returned to Georgia. He is currently being held in the Gwinnett County Jail without bond.
