TIGER — The Class 2A No. 1 Rabun County girls advanced to their second-ever semifinals after routing Chattooga 73-39 on Tuesday at home in the Class 2A playoffs.
Sophie Woodard led the Lady Wildcats with 25 points and 3 rebounds as they jumped out to a big first half lead and never looked back. Gracie Deetz added 22 points and 8 rebounds and Carley Haban 10 points and 5 rebounds for Rabun County.
The Final Four berth is the first since 2017 when the Lady Wildcats lost in the Class 2A championship game at Georgia Tech.
The Lady Wildcats next will take on the Laney-Northeast winner in the semifinals on Friday at 6 p.m. at Georgia College in Milledgeville.
