Autistic boy found in the woods after going missing in Forsyth County

A 6-year-old boy was found safe after going missing in Forsyth County on Saturday. His nanny realized he was missing and called 9-1-1 reporting the boy was non-verbal autistic. He had wandered away from his home on Lakefield Court.

A massive search, including 8 deputies, two dogs and nearby Johns Creek Police Department, all searched the area.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, he was missing a little over an hour before a deputy found him in the woods near a creek.

The boy was checked out by medical professionals due to the cold temperatures and safely returned to his parents.
