SUGAR HILL — Class 6A No. 1 Buford, still missing of two of its starters, advanced to the Region 8-6A finals after holding off a determined Habersham Central squad, 36-34, on Friday in the semifinals at Lanier High School.
The Lady Wolves (22-3) will take on rival Dacula in Saturday's finals for the title. Habersham Central (16-10) will play Winder-Barrow in the third-place game.
Buford was paced by 10 points from Tatum Ozment. Tamori Planitin and Mackenzie Pickens each had 8 points for th Lady Wolves.
