A Mount Airy woman died in a single-vehicle accident in White County on Thursday.
The Georgia State Patrol said the accident happened at about 3:38 PM. on Webster Lake Road. Mildred Dyann Roach, 72, died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.
Roach was reportedly driving a Chevrolet Colorado east on Webster Lake Road when she began navigating a left-hand curve. The vehicle then traveled off the right shoulder of the roadway, went down an embankment, and turned onto its roof.
One other person was injured in the crash. Their name has not been released by authorities.
The road was shut down while emergency personnel worked to free the victims from the vehicle.
