A Hall County man was arrested early Saturday morning following a domestic incident at a home on Valley Glen Drive.
The Hall County Sheriff's Office said Julio Cesar Martinez, 32, and an unnamed male victim who lived at the home got into an argument around 2 a.m.
The victim tried calling 911 to request police protection, but Martinez allegedly knocked the phone out of the victim's hand. Martinez is accused of striking the victim with a socket wrench and biting him in the face as the situation escalated.
Both Martinez and the victim suffered injuries during the altercation.
Martinez is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery and 911 obstruction. He remained in the Hall County Jail as of 1 p.m. Thursday.
The investigation is ongoing.
