A trailer and chicken house were badly damaged in a fire in northwest Hall County Monday night.
Kimberlie Ledsinger with Hall County Fire Rescue said crew were called to the fire on Gillespie Road just north of Price Road around 7:00 p.m. When they arrived, they found both buildings around 70 percent involved in flames.
Ledsinger said all the residents of the home were accounted for and no one was injured. The chicken house was apparently abandoned, and no people or animals were inside at the time of the fire.
The blaze also spread to several nearby out buildings and it took firefighters more than three hours to put out the flames due to there being no hydrants in the area. Firefighters had to shuttle water to the property to fight the fire.
The bulk of the fire was reportedly knocked down by 9:30 p.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshall's Office.
