Georgia gas prices continued to decline through the week of Christmas.
According to the latest report from AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular in the state is now $2.70. That's down 8 cents from the previous week and 36 cents less than last month.
Georgia continues to see some of the lowest prices in the nation as Governor Brian Kemp has continued to suspend the state gas tax. Georgia's average is 40 cents lower than the national average of $3.10 per gallon.
Locally, Hall County has some of the cheapest prices in the state, with the average price in the county dropping to $2.55. The most expensive average prices in Northeast Georgia are in Franklin County, with an average of $2.77 a gallon.
