A Lawrenceville man was shot and killed Monday evening in the parking lot of a tavern in Stone Mountain.
Jerome Johnson, 39, was found in the parking lot of Will Henry's Tavern at around 7 p.m. with a gunshot wound and was transported to the hospital where he later died, according to Gwinnett County Police Department.
Authorities have arrested Jonathan Bladimir Hernandez, 27, of Lilburn in connection with the murder. Hernandez is charged with aggravated assault and felony murder for the death of Johnson.
GCPD said that he was arrested without incident after a suspicious person call came in not far from the scene matching the description witnesses had provided of the homicide suspect.
Detectives were able to determine that a road rage dispute led to the incident.
