One teen killed, another injured in Lilburn shooting

Two suspects were apprehended in Ft. Walton, Florida by the Walton County Sheriff's Office in relation to a shooting in the parking lot of La Mexicana Supermarket in Lilburn Wednesday night.

Detectives were able to develop two suspects, Wendy Revas Orellana, 15, from Lawrenceville and Jay Sanchez, 16, from Lilburn, based on witness statements, surveillance and other information.  They are currently being held at the Walton County Sheriff's Office in Florida until they can be extradited back to Gwinnett County according to a press release.

Both juveniles have been charged with aggravated assault, felony murder and malice murder.

A teenage girl was injured and a teenage boy was found dead after a shooting in the parking lot of La Mexicana Supermarket in Lilburn Wednesday night.

Officers responded to a call at 7:30 p.m. after reports indicated a shooting had occurred at 745 Beaver Ruin Road. Once officers arrived on scene, they found Elizabeth Bravo, 17, of Norcross suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition.

Officers continued their investigation, learning that a male had been shot as well. Despite his injuries, the male drove himself away from the scene. After searching the area, officers found Ryan Romero, 16, of Peachtree Corners dead in his vehicle at 4414 Vernon Street in Lilburn.

Officers are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the case.
