Cumming issues Boil Water Advisory

 The City of Cumming is issuing a boil water advisory for various streets in the area after a waterline was ruptured. The affected streets include: 

Turner Road from Market Place Blvd to end of road

Goldmine Road

Rising Mist Lane from Turner Rd to Admiral Point

Skyline Drive

Lakewood Road

Bald Ridge Drive

Chattahoochee Lane

Edgewater Road

Lakeview Lane

Citizens who live in this area are advised to boil drinking water until the advisory is lifted.  The city says the BWA is expected to be lifted by Friday, Oct. 7. 

According to a press release, the ruptured water line was repaired earlier on Thursday, and was refilled and flushed. Laboratory samples have been collected and transported to the City lab and officials are waiting on the results which should be available within 24 hours.
