8th suspect arrested in Gilmer County murder

An eighth suspect has been arrested in the April Gilmer County murder of Rossana Delgado, 37, of Bethlehem. 

According to a press release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Juan Ayala-Rodriguez, 35, was arrested in Durango, Mexico on Saturday, June 26. 

The GBI coordinated Rodriguez's transfer to U.S. custody in a partnership with the United States Marshal's Service Atlanta and San Diego. USMS San Diego and Customs and Border Protection transferred him to USMS custody, and then to a California detention facility.

Rodriguez is pending extradition to Georgia to face murder charges.

The GBI and the Gilmer County Sheriff's Office are continuing to investigate this case and the suspects involved in the murder of Delgado.

Authorities are still searching for three other suspects: Mario Alberto Barbosa-Juarez, Carolina Jazmin Rodriguez-Ramirez and Mario Chavez.
