By Will Daughtry News Reporter

An unsolved homicide in Dawsonville is still in need of answers almost two decades later.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) posted on Saturday that the case of 44-year-old Cheryl Williams Frady is still active.

Frady was found unresponsive on April 5, 2008 and the case was determined to be a homicide.

She was found in the basement of her home on Brookwood Drive in Dawsonville between 4 and 4:30 p.m. with a gunshot wound.

Frady lived with her mother and stepfather at the time and was last heard from at around 1:30 a.m. that morning.

The GBI and the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) need the public’s help in solving this case. If there is anyone with information on the death of Frady, they should contact the GBI’s tip-line at 1 (800) 597-8577.
