Bradford Street in downtown Gainesville will remain open until next Monday, despite a previously announced closure that would have started Tuesday.
The closure is between Washington Street and West Academy Street. It is planned for utility work.
A press release from the city of Gainesville said the closure will now begin June 7 instead of Tuesday.
They encourage drivers to watch for flaggers, construction workers and equipment in the area. Sidewalks will remain open for pedestrians.
The previous closure announcement was made on May 28.
