A couple of streets in downtown Gainesville will be closed soon for utility work, according to the City of Gainesville.
West Academy Street between Green Street NE and Northside Drive/Main Street will close tonight at 9 p.m. The closure will last until 6 a.m. on May 26.
Green Street SE between Washington Street and Spring Street will close tomorrow and remain closed until May 28.
Drivers in the area are encouraged to watch for construction workers and equipment.
