DAWSONVILLE — The Gainesville boys golf team finished second in the Area 2-7A tournament at Crystal Falls Golf Course on Monday.
Ryan Davidson won the low individual area championship with a 6-under par 66.
The second-place finish qualified the Red Elephants for the Class 7A state tournament in Tifton May 17-`18. Lambert beat Gainesville for the top spot in the area by six strokes, 284-290.
