By AccessWDUN Staff

GAINESVILLE — The annual Big Red Shootout golf tournament hosted by Gainesville at the Chattahoochee Golf Course has been moved from Monday to Tuesday, March 15th , according the Gainesville golf twitter page (@GbrGolf).

The move is due to a possible frost delay on Monday morning that would have pushed back starting times later in the day. Teams will tee-off beginning at 3:30 p.m.

The event features a deep field that includes defending Class 7A champion Milton and defending Class 6A champion Johns Creek. Recent state champions West Forsyth and Mill Creek also will be participating.

Besides host Gainesville, area teams covered by AccessWDUN in the field are Buford, North Forsyth, Dawson County, Habersham Central, Cherokee Bluff, North Hall, and Lakeview Academy.

Here is the entire list of teams in the field (listed in alphabetical order):

Buford, Cambridge, Cherokee Bluff, Dawson County, Gainesville, Habersham Central, Johns Creek, Lakeview Academy, Lambert, Mill Creek, Milton, North Forsyth, North Hall, Riverwood, South Forsyth, and West Forsyth.
