By Lauren Hunter Multimedia Journalist

The suspect in last week's double homicide in Flowery Branch has been arrested.

According to a recent report from Gwinnett County Police, William Jerome Adams, 24, was arrested in Texas earlier this week after attempting to enter Mexico. Adams will be extradited back to Georgia to face charges.

Adams is accused of shooting and killing Mary Lindsey, 39, and her son Atif Muhammad, 16, both of Flowery Branch. The victims were shot Friday afternoon inside of their home on Apple Grove Road.

Authorities believe that Adams was in a relationship with Lindsey. The investigation is ongoing.
