Missing Habersham County woman found dead

Update: 

Habersham County Sheriff's Office deputies found Mylessa Zimmerman's body on Monday, Feb. 15. Zimmerman's family member notified the sheriff's office that he had found her car in the woods next to her property, according to a social media post from Sheriff Joey Terrell. After searching the area, deputies discovered Zimmerman, who was already deceased.

The Habersham County Coroner's Office was then called to the scene and will continue with their part of the investigation.

At this time, there are no obvious indications of any type of foul play.

The Habersham County Sheriff's Office is asking for help finding a woman who has been missing since last Thursday, February 11. Mylessa Zimmerman was last seen at her home in Turnerville around 10 p.m. that evening. Zimmerman, age 69, often frequents the areas between Turnerville and Carnesville, according to a BOLO release issued by the Habersham County Sheriff's Office. She is described as having white hair, blue eyes, is 5'1" tall and is 135 lbs. Her 2015 Maroon Chevy Malibu, license plate TLZ 930, is also missing. The Habersham County Sheriff's Office is asking everyone in that area to be on the lookout for Zimmerman or her vehicle.
