Girls basketball: Chestatee beats Alpharetta; East Hall holds off Commerce; St. Francis beats Lakeview

GAINESVILLE — Riley Black recorded a double-double to lead Chestatee to a 64-53 over Alpharetta on Saturday at home.

Black poured in 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. It was her first 20-point game in her brief high school career.

Addison Boyd added 16 points for the Lady War Eagles (5-1, 0-1 Region 8-4A). Riley Allison had 10 points and Bowen Corley had 7 points and 12 rebounds for Chestatee.

The Lady War Eagles will be off until Friday when they play host to East Hall in Region 8-4A action.


EAST HALL 47,
COMMERCE 41

East Hall improved to 3-1 at home on the season after holding off the Lady Tigers on Saturday at Valhalla.

The Lady Vikings (5-3) got 17 points from Alexis Burce in the win.

They will put that home record to the test again on Tuesday playing host to Flowery Branch.in Region 8-4A action.

Commerce (1-5) is off until Thursday when the Lady Tigers will play host to Athens Academy in a non-region contest.

LAKEVIEW 31

Joelle Snyder led the Lady Lions with 15 points in the loss to St. Francis at home on Saturday.

St. Francis was well in control after the first quarter, up 22-4, and led 58-17 after the third period.

Dynesty Putman added nine points, and Ashlyn Henderson scored four.
