CHESTNUT MOUNTAIN — The Lanier Christian girls have their first win streak of the season after knocking off Horizon Christian Academy 34-32 on Tuesday night at home.

The Lady Lightning (3-7) have won two straight and will play host to Johnson Ferry Christian on Friday.

LCA trailed going into the fourth quarter but freshman Kaitlyn DeLozier, sophomore Moriah Clark, and senior Ashley Avery all hit crucial 3-pointers down the stretch to pull out the win in the fourth quarter. The trio combined to go 6-of-11 from behind the arc for the game.

Avery finished with 13 points, including going 3-of-5 from 3-point range, to lead the Lady Lightning. Clark had 9 points and 4 steals, DeLozier added 6 points and Ellie Roberts 5 on the night. Roberts also had 7 rebounds and was a perfect 3-for-3 at the free throw line in the final minutes. Junior Camille Hoffman pulled down 10 rebounds as well.
