CLEVELAND, Ga. — Ava Hunter scored a game-high 22 points to lead Union County past White County, 75-66, Friday night on the road.
Hunter scored 19 of her 22 points in the first half, 10 of which came in the Lady Panthers' 28-point second quarter to give them the lead at halftime, 44-26.
Hunter was one of four Lady Panthers (5-3) in double figures. Rebekah Chambers scored 19 points, while Lara Turner added 17, and Corinne Hill chipped in 11 points.
The Lady Panthers trailed 20-16 after the first quarter but came alive in the second, outsourcing White County, 28-16. In the second half, however, White County used eight players to take back the lead 56-52 at the end of the third quarter.
Union County, however, hit 12 of 19 foul shots in the final quarter to rally past White County (1-4). The Lady Panthers outscored White County, 23-10, in the final quarter.
Chesnee Freeman led the Lady Warriors with 11 points.

Despite Audrey Griffin's 22-point effort for East Hall (3-2), it wasn't enough in the loss to North Hall on Friday in Rabbittown.
The Lady Trojans held on late to win the game.
