Girls basketball: Buford routs Parkview; LCA falls; East Forsyth beats Johnson

BUFORD, Ga. — Ava Grace Watson scored 24 points to lead the Buford girls past Parkview, 80-33, at the Buford Arena Tuesday night.

The Lady Wolves (5-1) were well in control by halftime, leading 50-11.

Tamori Plantin and Mackenzie Pickens both chipped in 10 points.

Buford will play Holy Innocents at home on Dec. 7.

Junior Camille Hoffman had a huge game for LCA but the Lady Lightning dropped a heartbreaker on Tuesday.

A rebuilding LCA squad fell to 1-7 on the season.

Hoffman poured in 23 points, including five 3-pointers, and also pulled 8 rebounds, blocked 4 shots, and had 3 steals on the night.

Senior Ashley Avery pitched in with 13 points and 17 rebounds for LCA. Freshman Ellie Roberts and sophomore Hannah Adams each added 6for the Lady Lightning.


EAST FORSYTH 61,
JOHNSON 29

The Lady Broncos (4-1) blew it open with a 21-point second quarter to take a 33-10 lead at the half en route to the win over Johnson on Tuesday. 

Ella Holbrook led the Lady Broncos with 17 points, while Hailey Hiddema added nine.

Johnson (1-3) found the bottom of the bucket a bit more in the third quarter, scoring 12 points, behind leading scorer Sarah Johnson, who scored half of those points in the quarter. Sarah Johnson finished the night with 13 points.
