DEMOREST — The Lakeview Academy boys opened their season with a solid 65-43 win over Landmark Christian on Friday night in the Piedmont University Tournament.
The Lions (1-0) used a big second quarter run to take a 31-19 halftime lead and then blew the game open in third quarter. Lakeview outscored Landmark 26-13 in the third to run out to a 57-32 lead.
Lakeview will take on Class 2A No.10-ranked Rabun County on Monday in the tournament.
Freshman Jack Collins paced the Lions with 22 points. Ryan Black had 14 points and Isaiah Rico 10 points for Lakeview. Harrison Cooper added 9 points for the Lions.
