The 39-year-old driver of an SUV that lost control and overturned in South Hall County last week has died of her injuries, the Georgia State Patrol said Sunday.

Mary Amber Moore of Buford died Saturday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Her passenger, Julie O'Heir, a 35-year-old Snellville resident, remains hospitalized with serious injuries, the state patrol said.

According to a report from the state patrol, the women were travelling east on Blackjack Road in a Toyota Highlander when Moore lost control of the vehicle in a curve. The SUV went off the shoulder of the road, struck a ditch and utility pole before overturning and coming to a stop on the driver’s side.

Neither woman was wearing their seatbelt. Both were ejected and pinned under the vehicle.
