Hall County firefighters respond to three fires in a matter of hours

By AccessWDUN Staff

Hall County firefighters had a busy shift on Monday night and early Tuesday morning, fighting blazes in three different parts of the county in a matter of hours.

Hall County Fire Services Division Chief Zachary Brackett said the first call came after a storm moved across the county around 7 p.m. Monday, July 27.

"That incident occurred in the 2700 block of Jack Bryant Circle off GA 323 (Gillsville Hwy) and involved a lightning strike that extended to a residence with a small fire located in the attic," Brackett wrote in an email statement.

Firefighters in the northwestern part of the county responded to a 1 a.m. call Tuesday, July 28 in the 4700 block of Cool Springs Road. An outdoor shed was destroyed in that fire.

"The third incident was in the 1200 block of Marlow Drive with crews finding a 1,200 square-foot home with heavy fire showing upon arrival just prior to 2:30 a.m.," Brackett said. "The fire was quickly extinguished and the Gainesville Fire Department responded as automatic aid."

There is no confirmation on causes in the Cool Springs Road and Marlow Drive fires.

Brackett said no one was injured in any of the incidents.
