DAHLONEGA — The Cherokee Bluff boys sweep of the doubles action helped them over Lumpkin County, 3-2, on the road Wednesday afternoon.
JC Foster and Caleb Dolan won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2, and Connor Walker and Cade Ellis captured their match, 7-5, 6-2. The Bears' third win came from No. 2 singles Brady McVey, 6-1, 6-2. I’m the head boys coach at CB and I was given your email to report scores for our matches.
Today, we played at Lumpkin County for our region match and Cherokee Bluff Boys beat Lumpkin County 3-2.
In girls action, the Lady Indians earned the win, 3-2. Bluff's No. 1 singles Keely Merck won in a close third set tiebreaker, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6(5) and Alli Lester won, 7-5, 7-5.

CHESTATEE 0
Ethan Holitzner (8-0), Jacob Funk (8-0) and John Faucett (8-2) swept the singles action of the day to lead the Falcons in the shutout win over Chestatee on the road Wednesday.
Will Brooksher and Riley Tucker (8-1) and Luke Dollyhigh and Dawson Payne (8-5) combined to complete the sweep in doubles action.

The Lady Falcons (6-3, 1-0 Region 7-4A) lost only one game in the near-perfect win over the Lady War Eagles at home on Wednesday.
Alyssa McSpadden, Olivia Nance and Sandra Hernandez shutout their opponents 8-0 in singles play, while Polina Chernikova and Julianna Velaj won 8-0 in No. 1 doubles action.
Faith Marx and Traci Timmons earned the fifth set win, 8-1.

The North Hall boys struggled in the Region 7-3A loss to Greater Atlanta Christian School on Wednesday at home.
GAC's Cole Bryant, Jack Olinger and Nico Warner swept the singles' action against North Hall's Jon Elder, Kody Dills and Forrester Terry.
In doubles play, Jackson Roush and Noah Wagner fell to GAC's Will Hawkins and Owen Jacobson, and North Hall's Stephen Sartain and Nate Marshall lost to Jake Robinson and Liam Hosfeld.

No. 2 singles Baylee Turner earned North Hall's only win against GAC's Ellie Viner on Wednesday at home.
Turner beat Viner, 6-4, 6-2.
GAC's Erin Hoover beat Anna Montgomery and Caroline Lowenstein knocked off North Hall's Raquel Kallab.
Ella Oxley and Lauren White fell to Sara Daye and Bell Shirley in doubles, and GAC's Elizabeth Walton and Jillian Hutson beat Gabbie Jenkins and Carsen Baumgardner.
